Our company, Doc Com, is ideally positioned to showcase its own documentaries AND those produced by other companies that are seeking a distribution channel and network. The name Doc Com and our website, www.DocCom.net is two words, two syllables, very definitive, descriptive, short, easy to remember, easily remembered, immanently marketable and brandable for decades to come. Remember, Netflix started as a tiny two-man DVD mailhouse company and evolved into the 150-billion-dollar company content and distribution powerhouse it is today, with its main focus on two markets; content development AND distribution.
Many TV shows are still offered and viewed on traditional cable channels worldwide. Many cable channels are eagerly searching for content to supplement their existing inventory and some countries, such as Canada, are required to have a certain percentage of nationally-produced productions created within that country. We have produced 26 half-hour TV shows that aired on cable channels and believe this is a great opportunity both nationally and especially in local markets for a variety of shows and videos. This also gives potential advertisers and sponsors an opportunity to create their own marketing identity as well, within those shows and others they wish to be involved with.
Client websites are a captive opportunity for distribution for videos, both on computers and handheld devices. Each company that creates these films can then offer downloads of their own videos, provide links to their own videos or others they wish for their viewers to see. This is the most economical method of distribution in the world as they can virtually offer these downloads for free or a nominal charge. With such services as YouTube, Vimeo, Instragram and others the opportunities are endless. We can offer videos in a variety of options and languages for immediate download and load on demand.
Many companies such as Netflix, Disney, Amazon and a host of independent studios are actively seeking and paying top dollar for content, both short format such as half-hour to one-hour shows, as well as feature film length projects. We are involved in these projects and seeking distribution with these companies for some of our own ventures and will be happy to pursue this for our clients as well. This is a time-consuming and costly route but the payoff can be huge if you have the right project and find the right partner for the proper project.
We intend to do the same for the world of documentaries. Our goal is to develop and expand a network of channels, all available in ONE website, that allows live streaming, downloads and archived content, in dozens of languages, some free, some by subscription, some POD (pay on demand) and some through provider based payment systems. This allows our company to deliver not only our own content but provide a distribution channel for other companies as well. Here is a good example of a similar site, Curosity Stream which boasts over 2,400 titles and charges $3 US a month or $20 US a year for their streaming.
As the Internet expands and grows faster more people, especially in rural areas, will be able to use the world-wide-web for a variety of services. A great example is the recent government announcement in Canada that will see all indigenous bands connected to the Internet. We are working with a number of these bands to bring multimedia services to their people.
This is one example of the partnerships we seek out. We desire to link people, companies, businesses, industries and countries together. The Internet is a great platform to showcase multimedia work arond the world. Contact us for information on how this may benefit your company or organization.
